First rumored in the 1980s: an evolution of the classic Matterhorn, but with a Japanese twist. A peak called Fuji, unsurprisingly sponsored by a film company with the same name, would have loomed over a park whose prolific sponsor Kodak was Fuji's fiercest rival, and that sponsor would not share the skyline. The mountain stayed on paper, and the pavilion has kept a conspicuously open space behind it ever since. Known only in whispers: the specimen that lost to a sponsor.
